Our Boys Hockey Team travelled to Canlan Ice Sports on Tuesday to play against Lorne Park. The boys entered the game hoping to capture their first win of the season. The boys kept the game close but lost the game 6-5. Mayfield goal scorers were Cooper Bertrand, Jacob Coulson, Garrett Mercer, Kevin Paschalis and Reid Valade. The boys play against St. Aloysius Gonzaga on Monday, December 19th. Come out to support your Mavs!!

The Boys Tennis team travelled to Lincoln Alexander on Tuesday for another set of matches. The boys hoped to capture their first win of the season. The boys played strong but lost 13-0. The boys play again this week on Wednesday against Humberview. Good Luck Boys!

Mayfield’s Junior Girls Volleyball team played their first game of the season on Tuesday. The girls squared off against St. Michael C.S.S. The girls won the first set 25-17 and the second 15-18. The girls play again on Thursday against Castlebrooke S.S. Go Mavs!

The Senior Girls Volleyball team opened their season on Tuesday against Cardinal Ambrozic. The girls came out strong winning the game 2-0. The first set was won 25-6 followed by a 25-14 second set win. The girls play in their home opener on Thursday against Bramalea. Go Mavs Go!

Mayfield’s Girls Hockey team travelled to Bolton on Wednesday to face off against Humberview. The girls came out strong as they hoped to improve to a record of 3-0. The team played well and won the game 6-0. Captain Brittany Giles led the way scoring two goals. Other goal scorers were Madison Firth, Natalie Fougere, Ashley Gooderham and Kennedy Rawding. Maggie Murrins earned a shutout in her Mayfield debut. The team plays next on Thursday December 15th against Heart Lake. Go Mavs Go!

Our Junior Girls Volleyball team hosted Castlebrooke in their second game of the season on Tuesday. The girls opened the season with a 2-0 win over St. Michael’s on Tuesday. Mayfield dominated the game winning the first set 25-11 and the second set 25-5. Mayfield will travel to Humberview on Tuesday with hopes of extending their record to 3-0. Go Mavs!

The boys came out strong winning the game 70-60. Evan Chabot led the team with 18 points while Joel Chabot added 15 points. The boys play next on Monday when they travel to Harold M Brathwaite S.S.
